Discussion Night: Age and A-spec Experiences (Online)

Although asexuality and aromanticism are not new concepts, and the term “asexual” can be traced back to at least the late 1800s, these identities are still unfamiliar and not commonly talked about in the modern age. Aromanticism in particular didn't emerge as its own named identity until the early 2000s!

How does this relatively short history impact the way that people of different generations approach asexuality and aromanticism? What is your own experience coming to terms with your a-spec identity, and how does it compare to people older or younger than you? Does age impact how we experience “being ace” or “being aro”?

Join us for a discussion night on Zoom. This is an open event; a-specs and allies alike are welcome to attend, talk, listen, and learn together in a respectful space.
